My The Affiliate Code Review continues with Module 5.  Michael Jones has put together a brief, nuts and bolts lesson on the essentials of copy writing.

I can tell that he, Michael Jones, understands well that copywriting is vital to success.  I also can tell from his presentation, that he doesn’t seem to like doing it himself.  With the money he’s makine from The Affiliate Code… he doesn’t have to!

Let’s get into Module 5: Copywriting 101…

Video 1. Overview.  I don’t think this video will be real exciting to anyone.  This doesn’t negate its importance to any marketer, old and new.  There are still plenty of long time marketers that don’t give this enough attention.  The overview covers basic terms and explains very clearly why you need to understan copywriting.

Video 2. Create Urgency.  You know from your own emotional responses to ads, that any ad that can create a real sense of urgency is powerful.  Michael Jones gives some great insight in this video on how you can put urgency into your affiliate marketing.

Video 3. The How to Approach.  This lesson is exactly what the title suggests.  This video shows why and how to use the how to approach  plus much more on how to create very powerful headlines.  You need this information, particularly as a newbie.

He also covers how to use the most powerful words that create results.  You might be shocked by what he tells you about risk!

Video 4. Sizzling Copy. More great requirements for getting your copy done with real, target hitting power.  Then he moves on to show you how to get the most from your traffic, including things like the navigation through your website.  Very important to follow these ideas closely.

He shows you how to plan out your sales page, and exactly how to capture the full attention of your highly targeted visitor.

Video 5. The Job of the Headline.  This lesson, though it sounds repetitive here, is a great overview of how to make your headlines very powerful.  He covers everything from the text, to the colors, to the size of the text.  He shows some really great examples.  Pay attention.

Video 6.  Top Headlines of All Time.  This is just what it says.  You get the best templates ever to make your headlines from.  Use these templates, and you will be on your way to great copy.  This video covers the subject of exclusivity, as well.  This topic may be a little weak, but he does get the point across.

Video 7. The Power of Scarcity.  Of course, this video covers the use of scarcity.  But it also covers how to use emotion to capture your readers attention.  This is something I did poorly, and when you get it, you will get lots more sales.

Also, Michael Jones covers the use of specific promises.  This is very, very important.  It may seem like semantics to you at first, but the reality is that it makes the difference between a sale and a customer lost forever.

More is covered in this video, including getting leads, and literally cutting to the chase – that is, showing your customer you really can solve their problems.

Video 8. Cut to the Chase.  Michael Jones really goes deep into how to get to the points your customer wants to know.  This lesson will keep you many more customers if you do this correctly, and don’t shrup off the importance of it.

You also learn the importance of removing risk, and providing real proof of the possible results the buyer can expect.

Video 9. The Call to Action.  If you are successful with all the rest of the parts of your copy, you now close the sale.  This lesson gives some great examples and shows you how to get your customer to take the plunge.

Then he goes into a quick overview of how you make the squeeze page, or opt in page you use to capture lead names.  If you aren’t doing this, you aren’t serious about making a real business online.

Michael finishes up with a good checklist of what to do to complete your copy.  Follow this, and you will be way ahead of most of your online competition.

That’s it for this lesson.  It is the longest lesson in The Affiliate Code.  However, if you do everything else correctly in The Affiliate Code training and ignore this lesson, you will be throwing away sales.  You may actually be preventing sales from happening.

Module 4 is more of ensuring you have everything you need to get started correctly.  The Affiliate Code clearly is designed to enable you to create your online marketing tool bag for whatever niche you choose.  Michael Jones has done a great job of this.

Once again, you may be tempted to jump ahead.  But even if your experienced, I wouldn’t do that.  However, this is CRITICAL for the new, online business person.  So listen to Module 4, Using an Autoresponder, very closely.  Here’s what it covers…

Video 1: The Power of a List and an Autoresponder.  This video listen puts everything about the reasons and need for a list an and autoresponder in very, very clear terms.  Plus, Michael covers all the online terms in detail (which for me was boring), and this is MOST important for a new, online business person.  If that’s you, pay attention in this video.

Video 2: Why You Need an Autoresponder.  This is basic, but too many people skip this and fail.  So for the newbie, watch this video closely, and you’ll fully understand why — if you choose not to do this, you may as well give up now!  Michael Jones covers some great specifics about creating follow up messages and staying in touch.  He lays out a great action sequence for making it all happen.

Video 3:  Different Systems.  In this video, Michael Jones takes you step-by-step through the action steps defined in the previous videos.  He actually creates marketing lists, follow up emails, and every detail of being prepared to interact with your customers. This really wraps up the training in Module 4 of The Affiliate Code very well.

For the old hack marketer, there really isn’t anything new.  If you are an Aweber user, you might learn a new trick.  If you are brand new to marketing, you had better be riveted to this trainging module and watch it at least twice!
