I’m continuing my module by module The Affiliate Code Review. Module 1 is very well designed for the newbie affiliate marketer. If you are an old hack, you won’t find anything new in Module 1.
In Module 2, Micheal Jones continues a very basic explanation of the affiliate marketing world. Now don’t go crazy on me, I’m not putting anyone down, just telling what I found. Basic is good for a newbie marketer, and this covers all the basics well.
Let’s get inside The Affiliate Code Review of Module 2, Picking Your Product…
Video 1: Picking Your Product. This starts with all the basics of exactly what affiliate marketing is, and the most essential terms are explained. Michael Jones does a pretty good job of not assuming anyone viewing this lesson knows what he’s talking about. It was a little boring for me, because I know these things inside and out. But for a new online business owner with no experience, this is PERFECT.
Video 2: It’s Not a Guessing Game. This module shows you exactly how to remove the guessing when picking a product to promote. Michael Jones makes it easy for any marketer, old or new, to trim down the playing field to only products that will be VERY HIGH probability of success. Follow these guidelines when you are just starting in affiliate marketing and I’m certain you will choose real winner products.
He explains the importance of research and tracking, and makes it clear how you save time, money and frustration by doing the fast, easy research up front. I’m an avid tracker, so I wasn’t bored by this at all!
Video 3: Rules for Success. Michael Jones demonstrates two affiliate sources that any affiliate market can succeed at. He lays down the rule of thumb to use to virtually assure you can pick a winner. He explains the terms unique to these affiliate sights, and really makes everything easy. I try to look at this from the perspective of when I first started, and this really does make it easy.

He also demonstrates likely sales processes, explains the reasons for list building and email follow up. He makes it very clear why you have to be very focused in your market. This is so important, and probably is one of the major failure points of most new affiliate marketing efforts. He really does well explaining this. He did one think I never heard anyone ever recommend, but I don’t think it really matters. So I’ll leave it at that.
Video 4: CJ Live Presentation. In this lesson, Michael Jones takes you inside the affiliate markets and shows you step by step how to pick the products. He actually picks products to use, and explains everything about what he is thinking when he makes a choice.
One thing I didn’t like from an educational perspective is that he didn’t stick to his guidelines, but tells you essentially “do as I say, not as I do.” I understand he was doing this on the fly so it wouldn’t be a canned, pre-determined result. And I think that is GREAT.
That’s Module 2 of The Affiliate Code Review.
Overall, this is really perfect for a newbie affiliate marketer. If you ever thought any of this stuff was too hard, and you shied away, this module will change it all. I believe Michael Jones really did a good job of “forgetting” how much he knows.
What do I mean? Well, he never goes over anyone’s head. He leaves out the jargon, and puts everything in very easy to understand terms. Really well Done!
